FroFrom the halls of Montezuma
to the Shores of Tripoli,
We fight our country's battles
On the land as on the sea.
First to fight for right and freedom,
And to keep our honor clean,
We are proud to claim the title
of United States Marines.
"Our flag's unfurl'd to every breeze
From dawn to setting sun;
We have fought in every clime and place
Where we could take a gun.
In the snow of far-off northern lands
And in sunny tropic scenes,
You will find us always on the job
The United States Marines.

"Here's health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we've fought for life
And never lost our nerve.
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines."

Leaning tree

 Shakin` The Family Tree
Ancestors,ancestors
We`ve all got`em...
Took the grand history tours
Went to find out who I wuz...
Didn`t know it`d make my head buzz
Through Irish and Scotch
Never mind the Black Dutch
They say there is no such...
But it was Grandma, told it to me
Not to mention the rumored Portaguese
Found myself in relatives up to my knees
From Europe they sailed across the seas
To greatly complicate my family trees...
The Irish, the Scotch and the English, you see
There were soldiers in the Revolution
I can claim as part of my evolution
Indian fighters and Indian lovers
Married them too among others...
That accounts for my looks
According to the ancestor books
The  records say it`s true
There were relatives who
Fought for the North, fought for the South
Found things to make me shut my mouth
Found my way to the Cherokee
...Woe is me.....
Now chasing Melungeons
Through the Cree...
Don`t know as I`ll ever identify me
It doesn`t matter,you see
From where my ancestors did roam
I am where I belong...
I know America is my home...

The Ballad of Jake Brake
Yep, my name is Jake
Been all over the country
I am a dog of renown
Journeys I’d take
From the east coast to old Chi town

From the mountains of Tennessee
To New York and back again
You’ll not ever hear
Of a braver dog than me

Me and M’lady
Drove through the snows and the rains
From the east coast
To the Great Plains

We spied all the sights
And M’lady knew all the roads
We were always on time
No one waited on our loads

M’lady and me
We drove the big rigs you see
Her behind the wheel
She couldn’t be beat
Me, not a care in the world
Ridinin’ the shot gun seat

Well, that’s changed now
I’m home sleeping in the sun
M`lady`s out on a Sunday run
Hauling the U.S. Mail
And would you believe
Those son of a guns
They won’t allow my tail

To the Tennessee mountains
M’lady’s gone with the mail
And Poppa Ed’s truck has gone
And hit the Texas trail

Well, I’ll lie here
And nap in the sun
Till M’lady’s done with her run
I’ll just have to be content
To dream of the eighteen wheels hum
